Liverpool has provided an update on Harvey Elliotts injury. The eighteen-year-old Englishman has been discharged from the hospital and will soon have an ankle surgery.
In the match between Leeds United and Liverpool (0-3), defender Pascal Struijk put a tough tackle on Elliott, after which the youth international ankle was no longer in the right position. After that, Elliott soon left for the hospital, where he has now left again.

Liverpool is not yet announcing how long the young attacker will be out of rotation. So it is clear that Elliott will go under the knife. The surgery will take place in the next few days.
Immediately after the match, manager Jürgen Klopp confirmed that Elliotts injury was serious. “I heard that his ankle has been put back in the right position. Well have to wait and see now. He played a fantastic match and is a very good player. Well play soccer without him now, but were waiting for him. He is an absolute top player,” Klopp said.
