‘Liverpool swings off reserve player Minamino after two and a half years’

AS Monaco hopes to strengthen with Takumi Minamino. The Japanese is in all likelihood coming over from Liverpool.
This is reported by The Athletic and various French media. Monaco pays around 15 million euros excluding bonuses to purchase Minaminos contract with Liverpool. He was still stuck at Anfield until the summer of 2024. Minamino, who is still in Japan, is intended to arrive soon in Monaco for the medical examination, after which he will sign a multi-year commitment.
For example, after two and a half years, the period of Minamino near Liverpool is coming to an end. In January 2020, he was taken over from Red Bull Salzburg, but Jรผrgen Klopp mainly used the Japanese as a substitute, leaving him no further than five base spots in the Premier League. Minamino has already been rented to Southampton.
