Technical Director Ton Lokhoff of NAC Breda immediately disembarked at the club. The newly appointed Lokhoff was far from aligned with trainer Maurice Steijn and decided to throw the towel in the ring.
Club icon Lokhoff started his new job as technical director at the club on April 1 this year. However, his employment did not last long. NAC announces Wednesday night that Lokhoff leaves Breda immediately. Lokhoff isn‘t the first to step up at NAC on Tuesday. Commissioner Mark Haarman, who is responsible for the technical affairs of the club, announced that he left immediately earlier on Tuesday.
NAC comes up with an explanation on the club site. ‘Ton has indicated to NAC‘s board of directors not wanting to execute his contract. He made this decision because he sees no possibility for fruitful cooperation between himself and the technical staff.” Lokhoff was working internally with head coach Steijn, who, unlike Lokhoff, does stay in Breda.
