Romelu Lukaku has officially taken his return. Internazionale announces Wednesday evening that the Belgian striker will be rented from Chelsea. The deal is said to involve eight million euros excluding bonuses.
“Look who i have here,” says Inter-owner Steven Zhang on the roof of the headquarters. Lukaku: “Remember three years ago? Im back to make goals. I promise.” Lukaku himself wanted nothing more than to return to Inter. He barely got to work at Chelsea and therefore chose to leave. A final deal was unnegotiable for Chelsea.
Lukaku returns to the club where he managed to break a lot of pots from 2019. He won the Scudetto with Inter two seasons ago and then made the transfer from Inter to Chelsea for 115 million euros. Lukaku is still under contract in London until the summer of 2025.
