fox suddenly walked along the canals of Amsterdam this morning. The male was eventually captured and handed over to staff of the Animal Ambulance.
The animal was spotted in several places in the city by pedestrians and cyclists. “I thought it was funny and had never seen it before,” says a spotter to the local broadcaster AT5. In the video above you can see the video that one of the spotters made.
A resident managed to catch the fox a little later. Then he was taken by the Animal Ambulance. The animal is fine.
According to the employees, foxes are often seen in the city around this time. That‘s because it’s mating season. Males then leave their territory to find a female. The mating season lasts until February.
