Derrick Luckassen has received an offer from Israeli Maccabi Tel Aviv. This is reported by the Eindhovens Dagblad. PSV is willing to cooperate in the defenders transfer.
Luckassen allegedly skipped an offer from Greece and France so that he could talk to the Israelis. In the meantime, the conversations have progressed so far than an actual transfer seems likely. In Tel Aviv, Luckassen is reunited with a former PSV member. Eran Zahavi is also under contract with the current leader in Israel.
In any case, PSV will not stop Luckassen from switching. The 27-year-old centre-defender still has a contract until 2023, which the people of Eindhoven will not renew. In exchange for Luckassen, PSV agrees to a modest transfer fee for Maccabi Tel Aviv. The defender received such a good financial and sporting offer in Israel that the people of Eindhoven gave him the step.
After four loan sessions, Luckassen will now permanently join PSV. The brother of Ajax striker Brian Brobbey was taken over from AZ for five million euros in 2017. After rental periods at Hertha BSC, Anderlecht, Karagümrük and Kasimpasa, he will now leave for Maccabi Tel Aviv, the club where Peter Bosz was once a trainer. The Israelis are at the top of the league after two games, but were eliminated by OGC Nice in the Conference League playoffs.
Under these conditions, PSV is cooperating with a departure of Derrick Luckassen, who can go to Israel https://t.co/w9FLT9JoS4
