Youssef En-Nesyri was the star in the Spanish subtopclash between Seville and Real Sociedad on Saturday afternoon. Luuk de Jong‘s competitor delivered the three points (3-2) with a Hat Trick Sevilla. Thus, the Moroccan seems to be taking a lead in the spires struggle with De Jong for the time being.
Last year, De Jong was the hero of Seville with crucial goals in the Europa League final. This season he also started strong with two league goals in three duels, but since then he has been dry in La Liga. So he started Saturday for the fourth time in the last six games on the bench. There he sat in the company of his compatriots Oussama Idrissi and Karim Rekik.
From there, he saw his rival at rush hour En-Nesyri scoring twice. The first one after four minutes was an intikker in an empty goal and a little later he fumbled past a few defenders with some fortune to finish. Yet Seville did not rest with a head start. An own goal of Diego Carlos and an inside worked corner of former William II’s Alexander Isak provided a 2-2 rest position.
Shortly after the break, En-Nesyri put his team on the lead again, this time with a real peak goal. Sociedad did not return from this goal and so the points were for the home team, where De Jong just before time was filled in with the visitors. Seville and Sociedad now have the same number of points, but Sociedad has played three more games.
