Memphis Depay‘s Olympique Lyon lost its first place in France. L’OL was surprised by FC Metz at home and should give priority to Paris Saint-Germain and Lille.
Olympique Lyon-FC Metz 0-1Lyon had already played against Stade Rennes in the previous match and seemed to do the same against Metz. In the very last minute, however, things went completely wrong for the hosts: Aaron Leya Iseka benefited from uncertain hatching of goalkeeper Anthony Lopes and plunged Lyon into mourning. The Memphis team is now two points behind PSG and Lille.
Beerschot-Club Brugge 0-3Bas Dost entered at Club Brugge. The striker picked up at Eintracht Frankfurt also scored in his second match on behalf of Blauw-Zwart. Odilon Kossounou and Noa Lang completed the party in Antwerp. Club Brugge is unthreatened first in the Jupiler Pro League, with seven points margin on Racing Genk.
Eintracht Frankfurt-Schalke 04 3-1Schalke must fear demotion with seven points out of sixteen duels. Among others Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is standing in the wings to help Die Königsblauen. Other former players were also approached by Schalke.
After 28 minutes, Eintracht took the lead via André Silva, but a minute later young man Matthew Hoppe pulled the stand again. Schalke was not as bad against Eintracht as before this season, although the home team remained fairly straightforward.
A quarter of an hour before, Schalke ran into defeat again. Eintracht-trainer Adi Hutter brought Jovic and that turned out to be a golden change. The striker scored after ten minutes, did so again in injury time and thus gave his team the victory.
