Peter Bosz‘s Olympique Lyon seemed to win the derby against AS Saint-Étienne, but in extremis, Les Gones have given the victory out of hands. The Atalanta Bergamo by Marten de Roon and Teun Koopmeiners has lost nothing to AC Milan.
Saint-Étienne – Lyon 1-1At visit to Saint-Étienne, Lyon was fast on its way to victory, as Houssem Aouar made the 0-1 for the visitors. However, from the 74th minute the game changed completely. Anthony Lopes made hands outside his sixteen-meter area, causing him to take a shower prematurely.
However, with second goalkeeper Julian Pollersbeck, Lyon seemed to win with rival Saint-Étienne. Nothing turned out to be less true: defender Jason Denayer also made hands on behalf of Lyon, but now in the sixteen. As a result, Saint-Étienne received a penalty deep in injury time. It was used by Wahbi Khazri, who determined the final result at 1-1.
Atalanta – AC Milan 2-3The home team had a hard time with De Roon in the base and Koopmeiners on the couch against Milan. At rest, Atalanta was already 0-2 behind, after Davide Calabria and Sandro Tonali scored on behalf of I Rossoneri. Immediately after half time Koopmeiners entered the field, but he couldn’t prevent Milan from even making it to 0-3 in the second half. Rafael Leão popped the ball in the intersection.
Then Atalanta returned to the game in the final minutes. Duván Zapata took advantage of a penalty and Mario Pašalić tapped the ball up close. However, Atalanta put the comeback on too late: the game ended in 2-3.
