Maguire from English selection after suspended sentence

Harry Maguire has been found guilty by a Greek court of open violence, attempted bribery, use of force and insulting the police. The Englishman was given a suspended sentence of 21 months and ten days. Maguire will appeal the decision.

A fight in the pub

Agents tried to break up two fighting groups after which three men turned against the police. The three men, among them probably Maguire, would have dealt the cops quite a blow. On Saturday he was allowed to leave his cell.

“I’ve spoken to Harry and I have insights that are very different from what is being told,” Southgate explained earlier in the day. “But if the facts prove otherwise, I’ll have to reconsider my decision.”
