Man threatens passers-by in Oslo, police shoot him

In Oslo, a man threatened passers-by on the street. According to Norwegian media, the man was armed with a knife. The police shot the man.

Police previously spoke of โ€œmultiple victimsโ€ but later withdrew those words. A cop has been slightly injured. The police dont think the attacker had a terrorist motive.

The man was shot when he wanted to open the door of a police car. He died in a hospital.

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Mรกxima are in Oslo today for a state visit. They were welcomed to the Royal Palace this morning by King Harald and Queen Sonja.

Bow and arrow

Last month, five people were killed by a 37-year-old bow and arrow man in Kongsberg, about 80 kilometres southwest of Oslo.
