Man United Announces Surprising Carrick Exit: ‘I Had to Think a Long Time’

Michael Carrick leaves Manchester United, so it became clear after the win over Arsenal (3-2). The former midfielder has been on the bench as an interim trainer at The Red Devils in recent duels and was the assistant to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer before that. Carrick would once again fulfil that role by the arrival of Ralf Rangnick, but he doesnt see that.
Through the club channels, United announces that Carrick is leaving with his childhood sweetheart. โ€œAfter much thought, I decided that this is the right time to leave the club,โ€ explains the Englishman. โ€œI want to wish Ralf, the staff, the players and the fans the very best for the future.โ€
Director of Football John Murtough pays off Carrick
s departure. โ€œAlthough we are sorry to see him leave, we respect and understand this decision by Michael. He will go into the books as an excellent coach who has worked tremendously hard among two managers. We are grateful for the leadership that Michael is giving during this transition period.โ€
Carrick has been active as an assistant trainer at Old Trafford since 2018. The 34-time international was in the last three duels as interim manager for the group at Manchester United. He managed to conclude all those matches winning. So now Rangnick will take over the baton. It is still unclear where Carricks future lies.

A player.A coach.A manager.But above all else, a genuine Manchester United legend.Thank you, Michael โค๏ธ #MUFC
