Manchester City has renewed Riyad Mahrez‘s contract. The Algerian-French footballer signs up for three years and is now stuck at Etihad Stadium until 2025.
City announces this via the official channels. Mahrez made waves at Leicester City during the crazy 2015-2016 season, in which The Foxes won the Premier League. Two seasons later, the right-winger made the switch to City, with the club depositing around 35 million euros.
The now 31-year-old Mahrez played 47 games in City’s packed schedule this past season. In it, the right-winger achieved impressive numbers and scored 24 times and gave nine assists.fodenAccording to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Phil Foden is City‘s next priority in terms of a contract extension. The 22-year-old midfielder can also speak of a successful season. In 45 games, the midfielder scored fourteen times and gave eleven assists. Foden’s contract continues until 2024.
