According to Bloomberg, Netflix is going to introduce a cheaper subscription option. If the regular plan is about $15 per month, the new version will give access to the content of the streaming channel for $7-9 per month. It is planned to show commercials to “discounted” subscribers.
These blocks will take up to four minutes before the show starts and every hour thereafter. At the same time, Netflix programs for children and original projects are going to be exempt from advertising.
Presumably, the new tariff will appear in a number of countries in the fourth quarter of 2022, and changes around the world will come into force in 2023. By the way, such a subscription is present on the Disney Plus channel.
Currently, Netflix does not work in Russia. You can pay for and watch it only through proxy servers.
