‘Megatransfer Aké coming up’

Chelsea is hurtling through the transfer market and is close to getting Nathan Aké back. According to The Athletic, The Blues hope to complete the transfer within a week.
Chelsea was betting on a double deal with Manchester City, which seems to be actually coming. Raheem Sterling is on the way and, according to The Athletic, an agreement about Aké also beckons. The 27-time Orange-international has to cost around 53 million euros. Both clubs discuss the latest details — such as payment terms — and a personal agreement with Aké will eventually come about.
In that case, the native Hagenaar will return to the club where he received part of his youth education and where he has already played seventeen matches in the first team. In 2017, Chelsea sold it to Bournemouth for around 23 million euros, which caught almost double three years later when Manchester City came forward for him.
After the departure of Antonio Rüdiger (Real Madrid) and Andreas Christensen (FC Barcelona), Chelsea wants to win several central defenders. Kalidou Koulibaly (Napoli) is also explicitly linked to The Blues, as well as the names of Presnel Kimpembe (Paris Saint-Germain) and Jules Koundé (Sevilla).
