Meulensteen to Vitesse, Vroegh walks the opposite road

RKC Waalwijk will strengthen with Patrick Vroegh early next week. The defender comes over from Vitesse, who announced the arrival of Melle Meulensteen this week. Vroegh therefore walks the opposite way.
Vroegh (22) has another one-year commitment with Vitesse. RKC pays a modest transfer fee to buy off its contract. After that, Vroegh will sign a three-year contract in Waalwijk. Vroegh went through the youth program at Vitesse and broke through definitively in the first team last season. The year before, he came to sixteen games for Vitesse.
RKC saw Meulensteen leave last week, but has also said goodbye to Richard van der Venne and Ahmed Touba. And Jens Odgaard was rented from Sassuolo. He has signed with AZ until 2027. The intention is that players will join RKC.
