Club Bruges goalkeeper Simon Mignolet is impressed by Alfred Schreuder. The training master will leave for Ajax this summer and, according to Mignolet, did a great job in Belgium.
Club Brugge became champion of Belgium on Sunday, after a victory over Royal Antwerp. Mignolet was named Man of the Match, but was also asked about Schreuder afterwards. โIf you can go to Ajax after six months at Club Brugge, that means that you have done great workโ, starts the experienced goalie in front of the camera of Eleven Sports.
โHe is tactically strong and, above all, a very good and human man. Perhaps Alfred is the best trainer I‘ve had in my career,โ continues a laudatory Mignolet. โAnd I’ve had a lot of them.โ The Belgian international worked under Jรผrgen Klopp and Brendan Rodgers, among others.
โSchreuder really has a big share of the title. I really regret that he leaves,โ Mignolet concludes. Schreuder takes over at Ajax from Erik ten Hag, who in turn goes to Manchester United.
Mignolet thinks Schreuder is ‘maybe better’ than Klopp: ‘Too bad he leaves’
