A missile attack hit a building in Gaza with international media offices, including Associated Press (AP) and news channel al-Jazeera. Witness says the property has collapsed.
An Israeli army spokesman said that the building was bombed because of Hamas equipment. AP reports on Twitter that the owner of the property would have been informed by the Israeli army about the missile attack. He was able to evacuate the premises.

Wael al-Dahdouh, chief of office of al-Jazeera in Gaza, called it “terrible” that the offices of international media have been hit by the missile attack.
A White House spokesman tweeted that Washington addressed Israel about the attack on the tower. “We have communicated directly to the Israelis that ensuring the security of journalists and independent media is a primary responsibility.”
Abu Obeida, Hamas spokesman, has now responded to the attack and says that the inhabitants of Tel Aviv must brace themselves for a major counterattack. He also threatens attacks on the cities of Eilat and Haifa.
