An American teenage girl whos been missing for 18 months has managed to send a secret message to a friend asking for help. Its possible her father took her and drugged her.
Daphne Westbrook (17) never returned from a weekend trip with her father John Westbrook (43) in October 2019, and since then everyone has been looking for the girl from Chattanooga, Tennessee, believing that she is being drugged.
However, Daphne recently managed to contact a friend. In the message, the teenager wrote that she was considering doing something to herself. It remains unclear how she could have sent the message. Her mother has meanwhile summoned her to come home. “Please know that no one is mad at you. Youre so loved,” says Rhona Curtsinger to FOX 13. “Its not your fault that youre in that situation. Its not her fault. I want her to be okay. I need that. I will do everything I can to make sure that it is.”
Curtsinger told the network that she didnt realize that her ex-husband, whom she divorced in 2009, was potentially dangerous until he took their daughter. “In retrospect much has become clear. There were a lot of signals, but I just did not see them,” says the mother.
The father disappeared with Daphne after driving an unknown vehicle to the southwest of the United States. According to the police, the man may have been on his way to his sister. The researchers assume that there has been communication between the two. Police invaded Westbrooks sisters apartment last weekend and confiscated her electronic devices.
According to Fox 13, John Westbrook would have secured his phones and would use cryptocurrency — anything not to be found. Investigators believe the husband drugged his daughter to control her.
