Moderate Ajax leaves it in Almelo and sees PSV crawling closer again

Ajax put the Eredivision competition remotely after the resounding 5-0 victory on PSV, but has unwittingly made the competition exciting again. The tough Heracles Almelo once again turned out to be an Angstgegner for the Amsterdammers, who had to do it with a 0-0 draw after a particularly moderate performance.
Ajax started without the sick Noussair Mazraoui and Heracles surprised with Noah Fadiga in a more advanced role. Antony and Jurriรซn Timber got the first odds of the match, but Heracles was the closest to an opening target. Burgzorg captured the ball after fiercely pushing through, but then went for his own success and met ex-Heraclied Remko Pasveer. His colleague Janis Blaswich intervened across the street after a header by Sรฉbastien Haller.
The second half brought little better for Ajax, which once again had to appeal to his goalkeeper. Fadiga got free passage after an hour of play, but Pasveer saved in the one-on-one situation. Unlike his fellow players, Pasveer grew in the match: the experienced closing post also had a response to bets by Fadiga and Luca de La Torre again.
Ajax trainer Erik ten Hag called on invaders Davy Klaassen and David Neres and saw Ajax come close to a victory. However, Klaassen had no success with a chopping ball and Blaswich rescued handsome, after Dusan Tadic headed a cross from Neres towards the goal. Ajax escaped at a final Heracles counter – Burgzorg did keep the overview, but could not reach the free-standing Rai Vloet – saw Blaswich rescued again and couldnt prevent it from leaving points again in the hometown of Ten Hag after the 1-1 at FC Twente in August.
Since PSV won 5-2 from FC Twente earlier on Saturday, the difference between the front runner and the runner-up of the Eredivisie is now two points. Heracles comes at eleven points, but remains thirteenth.
