Montana train derailment deaths

A passenger train has been derailed in the U.S. state of Montana. According to American media, at least three people have died and an unknown number of passengers and train workers have been injured.

A passenger who was on the train made these images:

According to rail company Amtrak, the train was running around 140 passengers and 16 crew members from Chicago to Seattle when it went awry at Joplin town just before 4pm local time.

Eight out of ten cars have been derailed. A passenger told me that when she woke up, the wagon was lying behind her and wagons behind it were next to the track. Rescuers try to free people who are trapped.

It‘s still unclear how the accident could happen. There’s a team on the way to investigate that.
