Morocco/Covid-19:4,966 new confirmed cases and 82 deaths in 24H

A total of 4,966 new cases of coronavirus infection and 3,690 healings have been recorded in Morocco over the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health announced Sunday.

The new assessment brings to 293,177 the total number of contaminations since the first case reported on March 2 and 238,598 the total number of people fully recovered, or a cure rate of 81.4%, the ministry said in its daily bulletin on the situation of Covid-19.

The number of deaths increased to 4,779, with 82 new cases recorded in 24 hours, or a fatality rate of 1.63%.

These deaths are distributed among the regions of Casablanca-Settat (24), including 23 in Casablanca, Oriental (12), Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (9), Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (9), Souss-Massa (8), Marrakech-Safi (7), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (4), Fès-Meknes (7) 4), Darâa-Tafilalet (3), Gelmim-Oued Noun (1) and Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (1).

The new cases have been detected in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (1,492), Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (1.183), Souss-Massa (515), Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (447), Oriental (423), Marrakech-Safi (237), Fès-Meknes (160), Darâa-Tafilalet (156), Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (131), Gelmim-Oued Noun (97), Beni Mellal-Khenifra (90) and Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (35).

The number of excluded cases amounts to 3,353.153, after 17,845 new negative analyses, while active cases reached the number of 49,800.

Concerning severe or critical cases, there are 1,051, of which 89 are intubated. The occupancy rate of covid-19 resuscitation beds is 39.28%.
