A total of 925 new cases of coronavirus infection and 1,041 healings have been recorded in the last 24 hours in Morocco, the Ministry of Health announced Saturday.
The new assessment brings to 465,769 the total number of contaminations since the first case reported last March, and to 441,693 the total number of people fully recovered, or a cure rate of 94.8%, the ministry said in its daily bulletin on the situation of Covid-19.
The total number of deaths rose to 8,128, with 23 new cases recorded in 24 hours, or a fatality rate of 1.7%.
These deaths were recorded in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (6), Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (4), Fès-Meknes (3), Souss-Massa (2), Oriental (2) Marrakech-Safi (2), Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (1), Drâa-Tafilalet (1), Beni Mellal-Khénifri (1) (1) and Guelmim-Oued Noun (1).
New cases have been detected in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (384), Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (160), Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (132), Souss-Massa (90), Oriental (43), Marrakech-Safi (38), Drâa-Tafilalet (21), Fès-Meknes (20), Dakhla-Oufilalet (21), Fès-Meknes (20), Dakhla-Oufilalet (21) Eddahab (13), Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (12), Gelmim-Oued Nun (6), and Beni Mellal-Khenifra (6).
The number of active cases is 15,948, while severe or critical cases are 772, of which 65 are intubated. The occupancy rate of covid-19 resuscitation beds is 24.4%.
