Fausto Gresini, former motorcycle racing champion and team boss of Aprilia in the MotoGP, is in critical condition at the Bologna hospital.
The 60-year-old Italian has severe breathing problems and has been put into an artificial coma, reported the team Gresini Racing.
The two-time world champion in the 125cc (1985 and 1987) has been in hospital with corona since December 27. First in his hometown Imola, later he was transferred to Bologna, where his situation has worsened over the past few days. “Unfortunately, complications have occurred, which makes the current clinical picture critical,” said doctor Nicola Cilloni.
On Wednesday without the presence of the team boss, Gresini Racing presented the rider occupation in the Moto2 and Moto3 for the coming season.
