After Charles De Ketelaere, Noa Lang Club also seems to be leaving Bruges after all. Het Nieuwsblad reports that the 23-year-old Dutch international started on the bank against Zulte Waregem at his own request.
Lang has been a mainstay at Club Brugge for two seasons and the ex-Ajacied expected to make a transfer this summer. However, it didn‘t happen yet, so he ‘just‘ started the new season with Club Brugge. Now there seems to be movement around Lang after all.
According to Belgian media, there is movement from England and Italy. Although no bid has been received yet, work is underway behind the scenes on a transfer. Lang is also sitting with a departure in his head and has indicated that he would rather start on the couch Friday night. However, it is available to fill in.
Trainer Carl Hoefkens said at the press conference on Thursday that he has nothing to complain about Lang’s institution: “In general, I am very satisfied with Noa, especially at training. It‘s not an easy situation for him, but I can only applaud the way he deals with it. It’s a player who can still make a difference, which I‘m counting on enormously. That doesn’t change.”
Lang still has a contract with Club until mid-2025.
No Lang in the base at #clubbrugge tonight. In England and Italy, some exercise is starting to move for the Dutchman, who indicated that it is better to start on the bench (and fill in if necessary). Jutgla and Sowah are planned for rush hour. #cluzwa https://t.co/oiwzHMP5yO
