In the match between NAC Breda and Jong PSV, the Bredanaren left expensive points. NAC, which is fourth in the Kouch Champion Division, could have filled the gap with De Graafschap a bit but remained stuck in Eindhoven on a 1-1 draw.
Young PSV came ahead of a goal from Norwegian Mathias Kjølø after about fifteen minutes of playing.
With a little more luck than wisdom, NAC came on the same level. Sydney van Hooijdonk received a push in his back from PSVer Mees Kreekels within the sixteen meter area, but he tapped the ball into the target with his chest. As a result, Van Hooijdonk prevented defeat.
Earlier in the evening, Jong Ajax visited Jong Utrecht. The previous visit of the Amsterdammers in Utrecht ended in a 7-2 downturn. But tonight Jong Ajax finally took off with the points after a 2-1 victory.
After two minutes, Brian Brobbey – who already played in the first of Ajax and also had a fall in the Classical on Sunday – laid the ball behind keeper Thijmen Nijhuis. Just before rest, Christopher Mamengi unhappily brought the visitors to a 2-0 head start with his own goal. Only in the injury period Jong Utrecht did something back with a goal of Tim Pieters.
State of affairs
Because of the win, Jong Ajax jumps over Utrecht in the ranking. The Amsterdammers are at the eleventh place with 26 points, Jong Utrecht with a point less on the twelfth spot.
Almere City and SC Cambuur will take the lead after this twentieth round (out of 38). Both clubs have 47 points but the Frisians have a better goal balance.
