SC Cambuur has taken a next step to Eredivision promotion Tuesday night. The Kooze Champion Division-leader booked a well-off 3-0 victory at TOP Oss in his own house and benefited from the loss of points of Almere City earlier in the evening.
Telstar-nac Breda 1-2The team of Andries Jonker produced his only shot between the piles just before rest, but that immediately resulted in a goal: Glynor Plet tapped Telstar at a 1-0 head start. NAC, however, rolled up the sleeves and bent the backlog into a victory. Mounir El Allouchi took care of the equalizer shortly after rest. That 1-1 remained on the signs for a long time, but Mario Bilate took care of a three-point point just for time out of a corner.
NAC hits 47 points after 24 matches and is three points behind Almere City (23 matches), which lost at Helmond Sport earlier on Tuesday. Thus, the Graafschap is six points ahead of NAC, while leader SC Cambuur (also 23 matches) is nine points away.
SC Cambuur top Oss 3-0Just after Olivier Rommens got two dots of odds on the 0-1 — both of which were defused by Sonny Stevens — the opening hit fell on the other side. Cambuur received a penalty and top scorer Robert Mühren signed his 22nd of the season. TOP was certainly not the lesser and could hope for a result for a long time. Ten minutes before, however, the final decision was taken. Giovanni Korte threw out a beautiful marker and put the Leeuwarders on 2-0. The final chord was in the extra time for Mühren, who unpacked with a lobe: 3-0 and number 23 of the season.
It remained there, leaving Cambuur at 56 points after 23 competition duels. The Graafschap follows three points, but has played one more game. Almere City has six points less than the leader, who comes to the Flevopolder on Sunday 28 February. Before the time comes, Cambuur will play a catch-up match against Jong Ajax and will also visit Jong FC Utrecht.
Helmond Sport – Almere City 2-1The 21-year-old striker struck Helmond after 28 minutes by using a rebound, following in the footsteps of Jan Vertonghen. The Belgian defender was rented to RKC years ago by Ajax and then scored against the Amsterdammers, which ultimately did not become a national champion. Whether Goselinks hit will have so many consequences will have to be seen. Lance Duijvestijn (2-0) and Thomas Verheydt (2-1) still scored in the final phase.
Certainly, the defeat of Almere offers hope to competitors such as De Graafschap, NAC, Go Ahead Eagles and NEC. The Superboeren even took the second place of the formation of trainer Ole Tobiasen and are three points ahead with a match more. NAC and Eagles can also approach to three points.
