Neo-Retro Metroidvania Narita Boy is released in March

Studio Koba and Team17 announced the release date for Narita Boy, an adventure platformer dedicated to 1980s retro arcades. The game will be released on March 30 on RS, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One. From the first day it will be available in Xbox Game Pass.

The story of Narita Boy began in 2017, when the game successfully passed Kickstarter. Its creators promised an adventure in the spirit of Castlevania and Another World, but with modern mechanics, as in Superbrothers: Sword And Sorcery, and it helped them raise 160 thousand Euros.

Action game set in the 1980s. The talented game designer released his own Narita One console complete with his own Narita Boy game, and they became a real sensation.

And this success put the Digital Kingdom under threat. The protagonist Narita Boy falls into the digital trap, and now he is just an echo of his own self.

But in his hands – the legendary Technomech, and only he is able to cope with the evil that invaded the game world. The game is stylized under the action of the 1980s, equipped with hand-drawn animation, the appropriate soundtrack and the mass of references to the mass culture of those times.
