New film adaptation of Resident Evil has been subtitled Welcome to Raccoon City

As part of an interview with IGN, director and screenwriter Johannes Roberts said that the new feature film adaptation of Resident Evil is called Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City. According to Roberts, it is a film adaptation of the first two games of the series, including their lead characters such as Chris and Claire Redfield, Jill Valentine and Leon Kennedy. In addition, the film will show both the mansion from the first part and the police station from the second.
