The VK Video unified video platform will collect videos and broadcasts from VKontakte, Odnoklassniki and other services of the group. VK Video is claimed to be Russia’s largest video service, with a daily audience of more than 40 million people.
The platform is currently available to VKontakte users, but will soon be available in other VK services. And when downloading videos, users will be able to choose which services to show them.
Users are promised a range of technical improvements: cross-platform player, responsive streaming, high quality videos, optimized network protocols, personalized recommendations. A dedicated smartphone app will soon be available.
