An open beta test of Amazon‘s ambitious MMO — New World — will take place from September 9-12. Developers want to check the servers by the time the game launches, which takes place as early as September 28 The open test will reportedly involve a new Steam Playtest feature that will allow all interested players to request access to beta directly on the game’s page. Among the supported regions: North America, Europe, Australia and South America.
Amazon clarified that streamers and people who actively use social media will be able to spread quietly information from an open test. The news is not the most enjoyable: if you already have New World installed, you‘ll have to redownload it via Steam.
And the progress from beta to the full game will be unchanged. During gamescom 2021, the developers introduced a new trailer.
Players have to go on a journey to explore ancient mysteries and choose a side in the war for control of Aeternum.
