Nintendo 3DS gets fresh firmware update for first time in 8 months

Nintendo has released another firmware update for its 3DS handheld console. The official description only notes improvements in stability and usability. However, dataminers say that the patch also updated the recovery mode and browser.

It is suggested that the browser could have upgraded to fix the vulnerability. The previous update for the 3DS came out in mid-November last year, although in September of that year Nintendo announced that it had discontinued production of 3DS family consoles.
