Nintendo Switch takes lead from PS5 in Japan

In the fresh Japanese retail charts, the PlayStation 5 lost its lead, which once again regained Nintendo Switch. Primarily, it probably happened thanks to the release of the prequel The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild as part of the Hyrule Warrior series and Konamis surprise hit โ€” Momotaro Dentetsu: Showa, Heisei, Reiwa mo Teiban. The latter and topped the game charts with a circulation of over 345 thousand copies.

It is noteworthy that Switch sales in the period from 16 to 22 November amounted to 179 thousand systems, while the total sales of the PS5 for two weeks in the region were more than 160 thousand consoles. However, the Sony console is completely sold out, and new supplies are swept away from the shelves of stores.

Total sales of the Xbox Series family, by the way, exceeded 25,000 devices – thats worse than the first results of the Xbox, Xbox 360 and Xbox One in the country. The PS5 has a little better situation against the background of the records of its predecessors.
