No top clubs, but youth love for Aston Villa star Grealish: contract until 2025

Surprising news from Birmingham: Aston Villa celebrity Jack Grealish has extended his contract with The Villans. Grealish made his debut for Aston Villa in 2014 and – apart from a loan from Notts County – has always remained loyal to the club. Even after the illustrious club relegated to the Championship in 2016, Grealish remained active at Villa Park. After three years, Aston Villa returned to the Premier League, with captain Grealish and his teammates barely holding their own on the last day of the season.
The Birmingham-born midfielder‘s name was regularly sung around the British rumour circuit: the Premier League summit was said to have him in the spotlight. Grealish, however, opted for his childhood sweetheart. “I am delighted to have been able to commit to Aston Villa: this is my club and my home, here I am happy. The owners have made it clear what their ambitions are and what role I am going to play. We’re going to have a great time,” he told the club channels.
