Tottenham Hotspur has handed out arch-rival Arsenal a right-wing direct in the battle for Champions League football. The whites from North London won 3-0 of the red and reduced the gap in place four to just one point.
In the first minutes of the game, it was noticed that Arsenal defender Rob Holding had every difficulty keeping Heung-Min Son under control. That would come to him later, but the penalty that Spurs received after 22 minutes was not caused by the central defender. Right back Cédric was the unfortunate one, pushed Son in the back and Harry Kane was allowed to dock from eleven meters: 1-0.
After half an hour, the game for Holding was over. He received his second yellow card and had to rescind, after which Kane filed the verdict a little later. The English striker headlined the 2-0 against the ropes and that was a blow that could not possibly overcome Arsenal‘s dozen. It was all the more painful that Son also made the 3-0 at the beginning of the second half.

A beating seemed in the works, but The Gunners managed to keep decay limited. The score stuck at 3-0 and with that the formation of Mikel Arteta came away very well. Concerns will increase in the red part of North London, as Arsenal’s fourth place is now under pressure. The lead over Spurs, the only competitor in the battle for Champions League football, has now dwindled to one point.
