Norway calls up all new selection with AZ, Vitesse and FC Groningen touch

Norway had to assemble an entirely new national team on Monday, following the cancellation of the Nations League match against Romania. Interim coach Leif Gunnar Smerud focused his sights on the Eredivisie. Norwegians were supposed to take office against Romania on Sunday, but were not given permission from the national government. Former Feyenoorder Omar Elabdellaoui had completed a positive corontest and the entire selection had to be quarantined.
On Wednesday there is another Nations League duel with Austria on the programme: Smerud, the temporary replacement of Lars Lagerbäck, had to get eighteen internationals together at the last minute. The Norwegians announced their new selection on Monday, with three Eredivisie players: midfielders Sondre Tronstad (Vitesse) and Hakon Evjen (AZ) and striker Jörgen Strand Larsen (FC Groningen).
Wednesday at 20.45 p.m. kicks off against Austria: in October 1-2 of the Austrians were lost at home, but Norway can secure themselves on Wednesday on the basis of mutual results for promotion to Division A. When the duel with Romania is overtaken, it is not yet clear.
