Not to expect a sequel to “Hobbs and the Show” anytime soon

According to Hobbs and Shaw producer Kelly McCormick, fans should not expect a sequel to the action soon. The spin-off The Fast and Furner came out in 2019 and became a rental hit, grossing almost $800 million worldwide. However, it will take longer to wait for the continuation than it might have initially seemed.

The reason for this was the busy schedule of almost all project participants, especially Dwain Johnson. According to the producer, the team is waiting for a free window so that the continuation can be launched into a full-fledged production.

But the interest in the project is still high among the creators, so its rental is a matter of time. Meanwhile, the closest release of the franchise will be Fast and Furious 9, which will premiere in the Russian rental is scheduled for May 27.
