After talking with John Heitinga, Ronald de Boer suspects that Andre Onana is not under the bar at Ajax for the time being. However, the Cameroonian goalkeeper does make a very good impression on the training at Jong Ajax.
At Rondo, De Boer talks about Onana. “I spoke to John Heitinga. He said, “Onana is stuck with us and is incredibly fit. He is also an example and wears the ball bags. He doesn‘t feel too bad and has a very positive look. Heitinga just feels like it’s schluss towards the first team for him for the time being.”
“I don‘t think Ajax would like to deploy him for the time being,” De Boer continues. “It could change, of course. If Ajax loses points in the Champions League right before Onana is allowed to play again, things are different.”
As of November 4, Onana will be able to take action again for Ajax. A day earlier, the Amsterdammers visit Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League. On November 7, Ajax will play a home game against Go Ahead Eagles.
