Number of missing persons after Miami flat disaster adjusted down, bodies restored

The number of missing Miami flat disaster dropped a blow from 145 to 128, and according to local authorities, there were duplications in the list, for example because both the English and Hebrew names of missing persons were given. Also, some people who were missing reported themselves.

Four new bodies have been recovered over the past day, including that of a 7-year-old girl. This brings the provisional death toll to 22, among the dead are three children. Since the first hours after the disaster, on the night of June 23 to 24, no one has been taken from under the rubble alive.

The search for victims resumed local time on Thursday night at the partially collapsed apartment building in Florida, USA. The work had been silent for fifteen hours because there was a risk of collapse from the flat part that is still standing.

We are now working on a plan to break down that part, so that the salvage workers are less at risk. The Mayor of Miami has signed an emergency warrant that makes it possible to demolish the remnants of the building as soon as experts give green light for it.
