OGC Nice raises Schmeichel from Leicester for very modest transfer fee

OGC Nice has recruited a successor for Walter Benítez who left for PSV. It is Kasper Schmeichel, who comes across from Leicester City for a modest transfer fee.
It would be an amount of one million euros excluding bonuses for Schmeichel, who still had a contract with Leicester until the summer of 2023. The 35-year-old goalkeeper has played for Leicester since the summer of 2011 and thus closes the door of The Foxes behind him after eleven years. Nice and Leicester have announced the transfer via the official channels.
Nice shows itself ambitious and presents the next big name with Schmeichel. Things started earlier this week with Aaron Ramsey. He could be picked up transfer-free after leaving Juventus, which tore up the ongoing contract.
