Olympiakos is preparing for the Europa League competition against PSV with a strong hangover. The Greek topper against Panathinaikos was lost: 2-1.
Olympiakos has a street-length lead over Panathinaikos and is well on its way to becoming champion of Greece, but a prestige battle was lost on Sunday. It should be said that Olympiakos gave key players rest in the run-up to meeting PSV.
Panathinaikos quickly took the lead via Mauricio Junior and in the final phase it was 2-0 by Younousse Sankharé. Youssef El-Arabi made it exciting, but it wasnt enough for a point.
PSV travels to Greece early next week, where it will hit Olympiakos on Thursday. The return is exactly one week later in Eindhoven. In between, PSV will play the important league match against number four Vitesse.
