Mario Gómez fully supports Mark van Bommels appointment at VfL Wolfsburg. He thinks the German club will definitely end with the first four this season.
Gómez played Wolfsburg from 2016 to 2018 and was a teammate of Van Bommel at Bayern München for a year. “Mark is a born leader and a born trainer. An absolute leader, the players should be happy with him. One can only congratulate VfL Wolfsburg on his appointment,” says Gómez to Sportbuzzer.
“As I said, its a leader who gives more than just his own performance. Whether it was the tactics or the design of the dugout, Mark always saw things before and had a good overview.”
“He brings his experience to the highest international stage and is able to make every player better. Then Im not just talking about the sporty, but also the mental. I hope Wolfsburg will be successful, at least the start in the Bundesliga was promising,” says Gómez.
Wolfsburg ranks third in the Bundesliga after six games.
