Three years ago he played in the Second Division, now the top clubs in the Eredivisie are following him: Milan van Ewijk is lightning and has set a clear goal for himself. Thats what the defender of sc Heerenveen tells Voetbal International.
ADO Den Haag picked up Van Ewijk in 2019 at Excelsior Maassluis, which will be released in the Second Division. After a rental period at SC Cambuur, Heerenveen picked him up. That was last summer. Now another step beckons.
“I know Feyenoord, PSV and a few foreign clubs are following me. Of course, thats really cool,” says Van Ewijk, who stays sober. “I just enjoy playing my matches and making sure I perform as well as possible. If a club wants to get me, Ill hear about it. At least it doesnt distract me in any way.”
Due to past setbacks, Van Ewijk knows exactly what he wants. “Im extremely driven to succeed, to reach my ceiling. Because becoming a pro has never come naturally to me.”
The 22-year-old Milan van Ewijk was still an amateur in 2019, but his name is now on the lists of clubs in the top three. This is the special story of the SC Heerenveen roadrunner 👇 https://t.co/KLWxNcCRLu
