Orange women recover from tough defeat with ample victory over Belarus

The Dutch national team has recovered from last weeks painful 5-1 defeat against England. The World Cup qualifier against Belarus was won simply: 3-0.
The Dutch team will play a European Championship from 9 July, but just have to finish qualifying matches for the World Cup more than a week in advance. The game against Belarus was not to write home about, but the team of national coach Mark Parsons was effective.
After thirteen minutes of playing at 1-0, the Netherlands came through a goal by Jill Roord and in the second half went to 2-0 and 3-0 (goals by Aniek Nouwen and Lineth Beerensteyn). Lieke Martens gave two assists and Sherida Spitse also got one to her name.

The Netherlands can still qualify directly for the 2023 World Cup in New Zealand and Australia. It has seventeen points after seven games and ranks at the top in Group C.
