Overmars has negative contract news Onana: I dont see that happening soon

Marc Overmars considers the odds that Andre Onana will renew his expiring contract with Ajax. However, the director of football affairs of the Amsterdammers does not want to sell Cameroonian at any cost in the winter.
A few months ago it became known that Ajax and Onana couldnt agree on a new contract. However, a transfer stayed out for the 25-year-old goalkeeper this summer. According to Overmars, that probably doesnt make a breakthrough. โ€œYou never know in football, but with todays situation, I dont see it happening that Onana is prolonging soon,โ€ says the Ajax director in front of the club channels.
Overmars does not rule out a winter departure from Onana, although Ajax wont let him go. โ€œIt could, but it has to produce a decent amount. It will have to come from two sides,โ€ Overmars tells. โ€œIf the amount isnt enough, he leaves for nothing in July.โ€
On Friday evening, De Cceit reports that Onanas business observer, Albert Botines, is about to negotiate an extension with Ajax on Sunday or Monday.
Onana is going to train with Jong Ajax in the coming period. The eighteen-time international will have to earn its spot in the A selection again, Overmars said earlier.
