Billiards: OSullivan down against Allen
23.33: Ronnie OSullivan is eliminated in the prestigious Champion of Champions snooker tournament by 34-year-old North Irishman Mark Allen.
After winning his sixth world title, OSullivan did not achieve a decent result in Sheffield at the end of August this year. Even against Allen, he apparently had no chance of victory. Allen immediately punished every mistake made by The Rocket.
OSullivan has been in the final of this tournament 5 times and managed to win the tournament in 2013, 2014 and 2018.
Motorsport: Punishment points for Yamaha in MotoGP after tampering with engines
23.02 hrs: The Japanese motorcycle brand Yamaha has been punished for tampering with engines. The International Motorsport Federation FIM deducted 50 points in the World Cup stand for the constructors. Yamaha dropped to third place behind the new leader Ducati and Suzuki.
According to the FIM, Yamaha violated the technical rules by making all kinds of changes to the engines without the consent of the other brands. That was at the beginning of the season in the MotoGP, when Yamaha had a lot of problems.
The penalty for Yamaha does not affect the individual state of the World Cup, in which Joan Mir of Suzuki is in charge. But the Yamaha drivers Fabio Quartararo, Franco Morbidelli and Maverick Viñales all have a chance to win the world title.
Football: Wandering club Dijon dismisses trainer and technical director
22.48 hours: The French club Dijon, emerging in the highest professional class, has fired both coach Stéphane Jobard and technical director Péguy Luyindula. The club from the French Ligue 1 has pushed the duo aside because of the bad results this season. Dijon is stiff at the bottom with three points from nine matches.
Jobard was appointed coach of Dijon in June 2019. Luyindula, former player of Olympique Lyon, Olympique Marseille and Paris Saint-Germain, was only employed by the club since May. Assistant trainer David Linares has temporarily moved to the position of head coach. Dijon plays Metz on Sunday.
Motorsport: Valentino Rossi tests negative and hopes to return in Valencia
22.09: Valentino Rossi will be able to participate in the Grand Prix of Europe in Valencia this weekend. The Italian seven-time world champion in the MotoGP has been tested negatively for the coronavirus and from his home isolation. The 41-year-old driver from the Yamaha factory team is on his way to Valencia. If he tests negative again on Friday, he can get on the bike.
Rossi already missed two grands prix because of a coronavirus infection. He even tested positive twice and had to skip the GP of Aragon and the Teruel Grand Prix. If the test on Friday is unexpectedly positive again, then Rossi is not allowed to start. Yamaha has the American Garrett Gerloff as a replacement in Valencia.
Tennis: Schwartzman on threshold ATP Finals
21.03 hrs: Argentine Diego Schwartzman is one more victory away from a spot in the ATP Finals, Londons end-of-year tournament with the best eight tennis players this year. When winning on the Russian Daniil Medvedev Friday in the quarter-finals of the masters in Paris, Schwartzman has received the eighth and last ticket. Medvedev has already been posted for London.
The Argentine, placed sixth in Paris, won the last eight in a simple victory over the Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina: 6-1 6-1.

Football: UK coach too often sees tackles at striker Kane
20.02 hours: Referees should better protect striker Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur and the English team. That call comes from English coach Gareth Southgate, who believes that Kane is too often taken down. “I talk about the matches he has played for England and I see that he is constantly getting kicked and not really protected by the arbitration,” said Southgate when he announced his selection for the next three internationalof England.

Olympic Games: Before the end of 2020 decision on Russian appeal in doping case
20.01: Before the end of the year, the International Sports Tribunal CAS expects to be able to rule on the appeal against the suspension of Russian athletes for the Olympic Games and other major sporting events. Russia is fighting the four-year suspension imposed by the global anti-doping agency WADA because of extensive doping fraud in the country.
“ While it is difficult to predict exactly how long this process will last, it is expected that the decision will come by the end of this year,” the statement by the CAS, following a four-day session, in which most participants participated via a video link, said in Lausanne.
WADA suspended all Russian athletes for four years due to doping fraud in Russia at the end of 2019. The country denies all allegations and appeals. Actually, the case would serve in the spring, but because of the coronacrisis it was postponed for several months. WADA wanted to hold the hearings at the Tribunal in public, but the parties concerned were unable to reach agreement on this.
Motocross: Oss next five years on calendar Motocross World Championships
19.08 hours: Circuit De Witte Ruysheuvel in Oss will have a place on the calendar of the Motocross World Cup for the next five years. The exact date is not yet known. MXGP promoter Infront Moto Racing has signed a contract with the Dutch organization Top Events Group
for a Grand Prix in Oss until 2025. Dave Strijbos won the race in the 125cc in 1985, and in recent years De Witte Ruysheuvel was a permanent stop in the Open Dutch Championship (Dutch Masters). There was also twice a World Championships sidecar cross held (1980 and 2000).
The cross in Oss presumably occupies the spot of the Eurocircuit in Valkenswaard, which organized the Grand Prix of the Netherlands this spring just before the outbreak of the coronavirus. Jeffrey Herlings won his home race.
Big boss of Top Events Group is entrepreneur Ebert Dollevoet, who himself repeatedly started in the Dakar Rally, but never made it to the finish line. “This location is really a motocross hotspot and a home to Dutch top riders such as Herlings, Glenn Coldenhoff and Roan van de Moosdijk”, says Dollevoet.
What the MXGP calendar will look like next year is still unclear because of the coronapandemic. This weekend, the Grand Prix of Garda Trentino at the Pietramurata circuit will be the last of this season, which was mainly finished by coronavirus in Latvia, Belgium and Italy. Last weekend, the Sloveen Tim Gajser prolonged his world title in the king class. He did so in the absence of Herlings and Coldenhoff, both of whom ended the season prematurely due to injuries.
Football: Youth International Zirk Sea infected with coronavirus

That score was good for the shared ninth place. The Scot Robert Macintyre is in charge after the first eighteen holes with 65 strokes (-6).
Daan Huizing also did well with 68 strokes (-3), with which he shares the sixteenth place. Lars van Meijel also finished under par with 69 strokes (-2)and occupies the thirtieth place.
The tournament in Cyprus has a new format. After two laps, the best 32 in the stand will continue to the weekend and the scores will return to zero. After the third round, the best sixteen will continue and the scores will lapse again.
Football: Vant Ship selects Giakoumakis for Greek national team
16:50 Giorgos Giakoumakis, the striker of VVV-Venlo, has been called for the first time for the Greek selection. John vant Ship is the national coach of the Greeks.
The 25-year-old Giakoumakis was already confident six times in the first seven rounds. In the away match against FC Emmen, he made a hat trick on his debut last month. Giakoumakis came across from AEK Athens in August.

Tennis: Goffin ends collaboration with coach Johansson
13:23 hours David Goffin has ended the collaboration with his Swedish coach Thomas Johansson. The Belgian tennis player, the number 14 in the world, announced this through social media.
“ After two years of collaboration, Thomas and I have decided to stop our collaboration. I wish him all the best for the future,” wrote 29-year-old Goffin.
For Goffin, the tennis season ended disappointing. At the last four tournaments he played, he did not win a game. At the master tournament in Paris he lost this week to the Slovak Norbert Gombos.
At Roland Garros, Goffin lost in the first round. He made the fourth round at the US Open and started the season with a third round at the Australian Open.
The 45-year-old Johansson won the Australian Open in 2002 in his active career.
Cycling: UCI announces the arrival of Champions League course
12:42pm The international cycling federation UCI has confirmed the arrival of a new track cycling initiative: the Champions League. The first edition will take place in November of next year.
Plans for such an event were presented as early as March this year. The orbit calendar had to be reformed, was the verdict. “It should be more compact, more public-friendly,” said UCI President David Lappartient. The new initiative had as its working title the World League.
At six events in Europe, from November to December 2021, the best men and women will compete in four disciplines: sprint, keirin, elimination race and scratch.

Tennis: Season may start with a series of tournaments in Melbourne
10.02 a.m.: The tennis season may start in January with multiple tournaments in Melbourne. tennisAustralia is considering keeping the ATP Cup in its entirety in the playing city of the Australian Open.
the beginning of this year, the ATP first organized the ATP Cup, a team competition in the cities of Perth, Sydney and Brisbane. The event is a preparation tournament for the Australian Open, the first grandslam tournament of the year. Normally the tennis players will only be active in Melbourne from mid-January.
“ Players arrive mid-December and must be quarantined for two weeks prior to the tournaments. The ATP Cup will be on the calendar from January 1st to January 10th. The Australian Open starts a week later, on Monday 18 January.
Football: Final in Tokyo postponed after Coronavirus outbreak
07.15 a.m.: The Japanese football final at the Levain Cup in Tokyo has been postponed due to a coronavirus outbreak at Kashiwa Reysol. A total of thirteen players and staff members, including the coach, have been found positive on the coronavirus. The club was scheduled to take office at the National Stadium against FC Tokyo on Saturday. The Levain Cup is the second cup tournament in Japan, comparable to the League Cup in England.
The National Stadium is next summer the main venue for the postponed Olympic Games. The football final is sold out with the maximum allowed number of 24,000 spectators. According to plan, visitors should take their seats at a safe distance from each other in the stadium.
