Performances: Dutch base player and bench seat at United against Roma

The semi-final in the Europa League between Manchester United and AS Roma has one Dutch base player and one Dutch bench seat. Rick Karsdorp starts on the Italian side and sees that Donny van de Beek is sitting on the bench with his opponent.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, manager of Manchester United, opts for a formation with four midfielders. Paul Pogba, Fred, Bruno Fernandes and Scott McTominay all get the chance and that means that Van de Beek will have to sit back on the couch. Like Nemanja Matic, there is no place for the Dutchman in the first eleven.
Karsdorp, just like in the return against Ajax two weeks ago (1-1), has a base place. The Dutch right-back has to take care of the attacking impulses on the side. Leonardo Spinazzola, who was still injured in Amsterdam, is back and covers the left side. Furthermore, trainer Paulo Fonseca chooses many players who also competed against the Ajacieds.
The setups
Manchester United: The Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelöf, Maguire, Shaw; McTominay, Fred, Pogba, Fernandes; Cavani, Rashford.
AS Roma: Lopez; Karsdorp, Smalling, Cristante, Ibanez, Spinazzola; Diawara, Veretout; Mkhitaryan, Pellegrini, Dzeko.
The famous names of the second semifinals should be found in Arsenals lineup. Martin Ödegaard, former playmaker of Vitesse and sc Heerenveen, is kicking off and ex-NACer Pablo Mari is one of the two central defenders. The Gunners play without real centre rush and depend on Nicolas Pépés hunches.
