Photo of grave Elizabeth published, to be seen to the public from Thursday

The British royal family has published a photo of Queen Elizabeth‘s final resting place. The photo shows the tombstone with the names of the queen, her husband Prince Philip and the names of her parents, who died on September 8.

The stone, made of black Belgian marble, is located on the tomb in the King George VI Memorial Chapel in Windsor. The queen was joined there in a private ceremony on Monday, in the presence of King Charles and other immediate family members. She lies there with Philip, who died last year, and her parents, King George VI and The Queen Mother Elizabeth.

The ashes of Princess Margaret, Elizabeth’s sister who died in 2002, were also buried in the chapel.

From Thursday, the stone can also be viewed by the public. The chapel can then be visited as part of Windsor Castle. The public will have to pay for this: 26.50 pounds (about 30 euro) and 28.50 on Saturday. The royal family‘s official mourning period ends on Monday.
