Disney reported that the collection of the cartoon “Soul” in Russian rental exceeded 1 billion rubles. This project took less than a month – in Russia a new story of Pixar studio appeared on January 21, although on December 25 “Soul” was released in the United States on HBO Max, instantly finding itself on the net. At the moment, the tape already has 1,008 billion rubles of fees – in total, the tape for the rental period was estimated by more than 4 million people.
Thanks to all these achievements, “Soul” became the highest-grossing Disney and Pixar cartoon in the domestic rental, beating “Puzzle”, which was also shot by director Pete Docter. The plot of “Soul” tells of a music teacher who by chance gets into the afterworld, from where he tries to return to life.
