Player Report Orange: De Boer also bites himself on Bosnia, four imperfections

The second interland led by Frank de Boer did not win either: Orange stayed on Sunday evening against Bosnia and Herzegovina on a goalless draw. Football scoop reports of a disappointing evening in Zenica.Jasper Cillessen – 6.5: for Cillessen it was Sunday evening in Zenica cut cake. At Oranje he does have a base place, but just like on the Valencia bank, he had little to do. After 68 minutes, he had to act alone on a shot by Miralem Pjanic.
Denzel Dumfries – 5: if he is fit, Dumfries is a sure as rightback of the Dutch team. It‘s gonna have to be better to keep his place. A lot of violations, a lot of ball loss and little useful pros.
Stefan de Vrij – 7: one of the few bright spots in Orange. De Vrij was finally able to show it for another ninety minutes at Oranje and ruled in the duels. The best defender of Serie A was also one of the most dangerous men for the Bosnian goal.
Virgil van Dijk – 7: where De Vrij played a strong match, the same can be said about Van Dijk. Even after the entrance of Edin Dzeko, a recognized goalgetter, the impressive Orange captain was sovereign.
Daley Blind – 5: a lot went over the right at Orange, so Blind was not mentioned much. If the Ajax defender did get the ball in his feet, he never did anything unexpected with it. An off-day for the leftback.
Marten de Roon – 5: not a good turn of De Roon, who in the first half ran out of position a few times and thus introduced unnecessary threats from Bosnia. Symbolic for his match was his late yellow card, which means he was suspended for the interland against Italy in ‘
his‘ Bergamo.
Frenkie de Jong – 5,5: played a meagre match against Seville before the interlandbreak and pulled that line against Bosnia. De Jong – apparently not one hundred percent fit – could not leave his mark, although in the final phase he had bad luck in the completion.
Georginio Wijnaldum โ€” 6: the suspended Memphis Depay was especially missed by Wijnaldum, which was invisible against Bosnia. The Liverpool midfielder is less into its own behind a deep striker like Luuk de Jong.
Donyell Malen – 6: not Steven Berghuis, but Malen got a base place against Bosnia as the right outside. The equal of De Boer was not proven. After rest, the PSV was better off from the left side, until he was replaced by Berghuis.
Luuk de Jong – 5,5: With the few balls he got, De Jong did not do much wrong. But in the – intended – short combination game, the striker of Seville does not come into its own. Played a lost game, though ten minutes before time he was still close to 0-1.
Quincy Promes – 5: It is not yet the season of Promes. At Ajax it doesn’
t want to be the number 10 and Sunday evening in Zenica it went through his many balls from bad to worse. Remarkable: in the absence of Memphis Depay, he takes all standard situations.
Steven Berghuis – x: came into the field for Malen after 69 minutes and played too short for a review.
Hans Hateboer – x: came into the field for Dumfries after 69 minutes and played too short for a review.
Nathan Ake – x: came into the field for Blind after 88 minutes and played too short for a review.
Ryan Babel – x: came into the field for Promes after 88 minutes and played too short for a review.
